Ingredients

  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice from about 4–6 lemons
  • 3 cups cold filtered water
  • Optional:
  • 1 –2 tablespoons honey maple syrup, or stevia (to sweeten)
  • Ice cubes for serving
  • Lemon slices or zest for garnish
  • Mint or cucumber for infusion

Instructions

  • Juice the Lemons
  • Cut lemons in half and juice them using a citrus juicer or by hand. Strain to remove seeds and excess pulp if desired.
  • Mix with Water
  • In a large jug or pitcher, combine the lemon juice with 3 cups of cold filtered water. Stir well.
  • Sweeten (Optional)
  • If you prefer a sweeter flavor, stir in honey, maple syrup, or your favorite sweetener to taste.
  • Serve or Chill
  • Pour over ice and serve immediately, or refrigerate for up to 3 days for later use.

Notes

  • Want stronger flavor? Use 1:2 lemon juice to water ratio for a concentrated version.
  • Great as a detox drink: Add cucumber slices, fresh mint, or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • Sweetener tip: Dissolve honey or sugar in a little warm water first so it blends smoothly.
  • Meal prep hack: Store lemon juice concentrate (undiluted) in ice cube trays for easy use later.
  • For sparkling lemon juice: Add a splash of carbonated water just before serving.
  • For kids: Serve with a touch of honey and extra ice for a homemade lemonade vibe.
