Juice of 3–4 fresh lemons
about ¾ cup
¼
cup
fresh mint leaves
lightly crushed
1
–2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
optional, to taste
Lemon slices and mint sprigs for garnish

for serving
Instructions
Juice the Lemons:
Squeeze fresh lemons to get about ¾ cup of juice. Strain to remove seeds and pulp if desired.
Muddle the Mint:
In a pitcher, gently crush mint leaves with the back of a spoon or muddler to release their natural oils.
Mix the Drink:
Add lemon juice and cold water to the pitcher. Stir in honey or maple syrup if using, until dissolved.
Chill or Serve:
Add ice cubes and garnish with extra mint and lemon slices. Serve immediately, or refrigerate for 1–2 hours for deeper infusion.
Notes
No added sweetener needed
if you enjoy tart, citrus-forward drinks — great for clean eating.
For sparkling lemon-mint water:
Use half still water, half sparkling water just before serving.
Try variations:
Add cucumber slices, ginger, or basil for different flavor profiles.
Make a large batch
and store in the fridge in a sealed jug for up to 2 days.
Add chia seeds
for a nutrient-rich, refreshing detox water.
Use agave, stevia, or monk fruit
as low-glycemic sweetener alternatives.
Great as a base
for mocktails — top with soda water and a splash of fruit juice.
